Author Guidelines

The Journal of MedicoPharmaceutica is a publication that comes out bi-anually and contains papers that include both original research and reviews of prior research, in addition to case reports and brief communications. The rate of the journal's release is a top priority, and additional features include the ability to download research articles from the internet and receive email notifications. Only those manuscripts are considered for evaluation and publishing that have never had their work published anywhere else and are not currently being evaluated for publication in any other place. In addition, the decision to submit the manuscript for publication needs to have been sanctioned not only by each of the writers but also by the organizations that were responsible for carrying out the research itself.

Before you submit, you will need:

  • The quality, originality, and relevance of the research to journal readers are the main criteria for accepting a paper. Unless otherwise noted, single-blind peer review is used to evaluate manuscripts. The Senior Editors will only send a manuscript for review if they find that it complies with the primary quality and relevance checklist.
  • This might be a single Microsoft Word document with texts, figures (in image format only), and tables (in text or editable format); also, all necessary sections—primarily the abstract, introduction, methods, results, and conclusions—should be included in your article. In addition, legends for figures and tables are recommended. The same will hold true for editors if the manuscripts, figures, or tables are challenging for you to read and understand.
  • The editorial staff may return your manuscript to you for predetermined editing if it is difficult to read and understand. References must be submitted using the format specified by journal, which must be used consistently throughout the whole publication.
  • Included in your co-author information is your relationship to the relevant people.
  • Author’s or corresponding author's ORCID ID.
  • Name and qualifications of the suggested reviewer who is qualified to examine that particular topic and area.
  • If you are invited to edit your manuscript following peer review, the journal will also ask that you style the revised manuscript in accordance with the following standards.

Submission of Manuscript

Manuscripts are accepted under the condition that the authors have secured the required permissions for publishing. Multi-author manuscripts suggest that all writers have given their approval. The publisher will assume that the corresponding author has explicitly gotten everyone else's consent before submitting the paper to a journal. An essay must not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere before it is submitted to a journal. Manuscripts must be formatted using a 12 point font and a 1.5 line spacing (includes Tables, Flowcharts, etc.). Each page must be the same size and have margins of at least 1.5 cm on both sides.

Manuscript Categories Wise Requirements

It is recommended that the number of abbreviations used in the document be kept to a minimum, and each abbreviation should be described prior to being used for the first time. Additionally, unapproved abbreviations should be avoided.

Research Articles/Case study

Description: The scope ought to make sense, and a research paper shouldn't be more than 15 pages long when printed out. Prioritization should be given to innovative research or procedures, such as the validation of new analytical approaches, methodologies, or models, which should represent a major contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge. In addition to studies that are strictly theoretical, papers that reevaluate scientific and medical concepts based on past discoveries will also be taken into consideration. Papers that describe innovative approaches in research that incorporate new ideas will also be considered for inclusion in the scope of this event. The publication of replication studies that contain information of major value to the medical, pharmaceutical, and allied disciplines is something that we strongly recommend and support. Nevertheless, it will be up to the senior members of the editorial board to decide how it should be handled.

Manuscript: Word limit: without the abstract, techniques, references, and figure legends, 4,000 words.

Abstract: 250 words; must be a narrative abstract that summarises the entire work. The narrative abstract is without headings. The author merely attempts to condense the essay into a logically consistent narrative. No acronyms should be used.

Methods: shall be fully transparent with sufficient detail to enable replication by others

Discussion: 500 words

Conclusions: 150 words

References: Reference shall be between 05-60 numbers, with a focus on primary publications

Title: 200 characters

Keywords: 5-10 words only

Figures/Tables/Graphs: Total of number, not more than 10 figures, tables (text or editable format) excluding supporting files

Short Communication

It shall contain new, important information which has not been published yet, and for which publication is desirable. This section shall not exceed 5 printed pages. An explanatory statement shall be required for prioritized publication. In a nutshell, Technical notes/Short Communication   should   be   between   1-5   pages.

Abstract: Up   to   150 words, unstructured.

References: Up to 30.

Figures: No more than three (one of which shall summarize the major findings discussed).

Tables: No more than two.

Review articles

The review article's total printed pages cannot be more than 15. It should be brief, critically analyse recent advances in the field of research, bring up the most pressing contemporary issues, and offer interpretive and critical views. It should not, however, be a straightforward compilation of topics of popular interest.

Description: Reviewers are comprehensive analyses of scientific literature following the standard submission procedure. Word limit: 2,000-4,000 words excluding abstract, references,   and   figure legends.

Title: Up to 50 characters.

Abstract: Up to 150 words; must be non- structured.

References: Up to 60 references.

Structure: Authors should break up their reviews into headed sections.

Figures/Tables: A minimum of two figures are required, one of which should highlight the key results or discussed paths. There shouldn't be more than five figures and tables combined (combined). Use of explanatory graphics, such as cartoons, flow diagrams, etc., is advised.

References Format

The accuracy of the bibliographic data is the authors' responsibility. It must be indicated with square brackets and numbered consecutively in accordance with the sequence of their reference (Vancouver style), for example, [10]. At the end of each text, a list must be included on separate, 1.5-space pages. References must be free of extraneous material such website links, month names, and other useless details. All references must follow the basic format listed below.

The style and punctuation of the references shall conform to the following examples:

Manuscripts Preparations

File Formats: Please upload Word documents containing tables that are electronically incorporated within the text of the document. Margins should be at least 1.5 centimeters on all sides. Both the photos and the graphs need to be legible and straightforward to understand.

Manuscript Title: Top of paper, Times New Roman; Fonts all caps, bold, 12 points.

Author Names:

The first name, followed by full last name, corresponding author of the manuscript must be marked with an asterisk* and shall be listed first, font: bold, 12 points. (Journal does not allow more than 5 author names in a single article, for additional names need to submit extra processing fee per author)

Authorship Policy:

The list of authors shall accurately illustrate who contributed to the work and how. All those listed as authors shall qualify for authorship according to the following criteria:

  • All named authors should agree to its submission
  • It is not currently being considered for publication by another journal
  • If the paper is accepted, it will not be subsequently published in the same or similar form in any language without the consent of publishers Any changes to the author list after submission, , a change in the order of the authors, deletion, or addition of the authors needs to be approved by a signed letter from each author

Institution Name: Institution addresses and postal address in 12 points

E-mail: Email of the corresponding author, 12 points.

First-page file: It shall contain Manuscript title, Authors detail, Affiliation, Email, Orcid id, Address for correspondence

Article file: It shall contain as per below sequences (MS word file only)

Manuscript Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials, and Methods, Result and Discussion, Conclusion. Acknowledgment, Conflict of Interest, References. (All tables, images, and graphs shall be adjusted).

Abstract:

The abstract shall be structured; this shall indicate why the study was performed and what question was intended to answer. Times New Roman, 12 points font size, with 1.5 line spacing All Research, Research Notes, Reviews, Tools, Experience, and Commentary articles shall include structured abstracts of 200 to 250 words. No abbreviations should be used

Text:

Times New Roman, 12 points font size, texts of the document with 1.5 line spacing Use subheads to introduce the article's main sections.

Introduction

In the introduction state the background of your work and its purpose. State your hypothesis and questions asked. Provide only essential background. A thousand words are generally more than sufficient. Provide a context or background for the study. Explain the objective of research or review, or hypothesis used. Provide literature with references related to your research or review. Provide only directly pertinent references, and do not include data or conclusions from the work being reported.

Material and Methods

To facilitate transparency, „Methods‟ are not included in the word count of Research Papers. Your methods shall be described with sufficient details to allow the experiments to be interpreted and repeated by an experienced investigator. Where ever published methodologies are used, references shall be given along with a brief outline: any references shall provide the full description and shall not be a signpost to another reference. If this is an issue, please provide the full description of the method in your manuscript.

For experimental studies, the methods shall be presented in sections and shall cover

Test systems used (animal preparations, isolated tissues, cultured cells, in vitro systems, etc.) and the measurements made (with technical details) for each system. Where animals have been used as a test system the Journal has strict requirements for the reporting of experiments involving animals or animal tissue (shall be approved by the animal ethical committee of the certain country).

This shall state in outline what experimental methods were used. Details on media, buffers, drug concentrations, time points, statistics, etc., shall not be given unless they are important about the question that was addressed. The Method section shall include only information that was available at the time of the plan or protocol for whatsoever the study was being written; all information obtained during the study shall be included in the results section. The author shall provide the appropriate reference for every method used in research work.

For all studies, experimental design, data analysis, and statistical procedures shall be consistent with the principles explained in the editorial Experimental design and analysis and their reporting.

Ethical statement

Make a statement of ethical approval for experimentation that will be recognized worldwide. Indicate the nature of the ethical review permissions, and national or institutional guidelines for the care and use of animals, that cover the research. Include application approval numbers and web addresses of the approving organizations, if available. For further details, please see the journal's Ethics Policy.

Result & Discussion

As well as summarizing the main implications that follow from the results, and mentioning important shortcomings and caveats, this paragraph shall clearly state in what ways the work has advanced understanding in the field.

Results:

Present your results in logical sequence in the text, tables, and illustrations along with giving the main or most important findings first. Do not repeat all the data in the tables or illustrations in the text; emphasize or summarize only the most important observations. When data are summarized in the Results section, give numeric results not only as derivatives (for example, percentages) but also as the absolute numbers from which the derivatives were calculated, and specify the statistical methods used to analyze them. Use graphs as an alternative to tables with many entries; do not duplicate data in graphs and tables.

Discussion:

Emphasize the novel and important aspects of the study and the conclusions that follow from them in the context of the totality of the best available evidence. Do not repeat any detailed data or other information given in the Introduction or the Results section. For experimental studies, it is useful to begin the discussion by briefly summarizing the main findings, then explore possible mechanisms or explanations for these findings, compare and contrast the results with other relevant studies, state the limitations of the study, and explore the implications of the findings for future research and clinical practice

Conclusion

Link the conclusions with the goals of the study but avoid unqualified statements and conclusions not adequately supported by the data. Avoid claiming priority or alluding to work that has not been completed. States new hypotheses when warranted but label them clearly as such.

Tables, Graphs, and figures: Must be appropriately inserted within the text. All images, graphs, and tables shall be in portrait orientation style. The author can also upload figures (image format only like jpg, jpeg) and table as supplementary files separately also

Tables

These should be numbered with Arabic numerals. Each table should be typed using a table format (i.e., each variable must be typed into a separate cell in the table) with only horizontal lines above and below the table column headers and at the bottom of the table. No vertical lines should be included in any table. The title should be typed at the top of the table in the sentence case format, i.e., only the first name should be in capital letters; as appropriate. Any footnote should be typed at the bottom of the table in italic.

Figures

Figures must be numbered independently of tables, multimedia, and 3D models and cited as the relevant point in the manuscript text, e.g. "Figure 1", "Figure 2", etc. All figures including photographs should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals in the order of their appearance in the text and bear a brief title in lower case boldface letters below the figure. Do not duplicate data by presenting it both in the text and in a figure. For any figure directly extracted from previously published materials, you must have written permission from the publisher of that figure for reprint use. A copy of that permission release must be submitted with your article.

Acknowledgment:

Contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship shall be listed under acknowledgments along with a description of their specific contributions. Individuals providing technical or writing assistance and a department chair providing general support.

Conflicts of Interest:

Authors shall disclose any personal or financial relationships that can be viewed as potential conflicts of interest about the publication on the manuscript file just before the references section.

Formatting of funding sources:

List funding sources in this standard way to facilitate compliance to funder's requirements:

Chemical Terminology: The chemical nomenclature used must be by that used in the Chemical Abstracts

Biological Nomenclature: Names of plants, animals, and bacteria should be in italics.

Enzyme Nomenclature: The trivial names recommended by the IUPAC-IUB Commission should be used. When the enzyme is the main subject of a paper, its code number and systematic name should be stated in its first citation in the paper.

Ethical Matters

Authors involved in the usage of experimental animals and human subjects in their research work should seek approval from the appropriate Institutional Animal Ethics Committee by "Principles of Laboratory Animal Care". The material and methods section of the manuscript should include a statement to prove that the investigation was approved and that informed consent was obtained.

Unless indicated otherwise, galley proofs are sent to the address given for correspondence. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to ensure that the galley proofs are returned without delay
